Dance/movement therapy is a proven, evidence-based psychotherapeutic modality. Dance and/or movement is used as a form of communication, helping us to explore and express our emotions, thoughts and behaviours. This can help us to better understand ourselves as we learn how our bodies respond to a range of experiences, as well as the bi-directional impact on our thoughts. Dance therapy is accessible and adaptable, no matter your age, mobility, movement preferences or dance experience!
Similarly ACT and IFS are evidence-based therapeutic approaches. ACT focuses on our core values, and accepting our thoughts and emotions, helping us to build adaptability and resilience. IFS explores the different parts inside of us (e.g. the worried part, the happy part), and our true “Self” which underlies these. It aims to bring connection between our parts in order to support our growth and wellbeing.
